Lieutenant Erickson was an historian serving aboard the USS Enterprise under Captain James T. Kirk.
In 2269, with the assistance of the Guardian of Forever, Erickson joined Kirk and Spock in their observations of Federation history as well as firsthand accounts of Orion history. (TAS: "Yesteryear")
In the script of "Yesteryear", Erickson is described as "a small, intense man." Erickson was voiced by James Doohan. According to both the novelization of "Yesteryear" (in Star Trek Log 1) and The Four Years War, role-playing games sourcebook, this character's first name was Ted. Also in the novelization, Erickson is actually a Federation historian, similar to Grey and Aleek-Om, and is his mid-forties.
