Template:Realworld Erick Avari (born 13 April 1952; age 72) is the actor who appeared in three episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Star Trek: Enterprise. For his first Trek appearance in "Unification I", Avari filmed his scenes on Friday 20 September 1991 on Paramount Stage 8.
Avari was born as Nariman Eruch Avari in Darjeeling, West Bengal, India.
He has had major roles in such films as Independence Day, The Mummy, Mr. Deeds, Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes, Daredevil, and Stargate. He also appeared in the comedy "Paul Blart: Mall Cop". He reprised his role as Kasuf from Stargate in several episodes on Stargate SG-1, one of only two actors from the film to do so. The other was Alexis Cruz. In 1994, he appeared in Color of Night with Scott Bakula, Brad Dourif, and Jeff Corey.
His other television credits include episodes of Law & Order, Alias, Babylon 5, The X-Files, Heroes, seaQuest DSV, Lie To Me, The O.C., Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Leverage, Burn Notice, Dharma & Greg, and a recurring role on the remake series Dragnet.
In 2011 he wrote and directed the crime drama Chasing Eagle Rock in which he also portrays Cam Avery. He stars along with Michael Welch, Thomas Kopache, and Derek Webster and also produced the film.
