Template:Realworld Edward "Ed" Cooper is a gaffer, electrician, assistant chief lighting technician and best boy within the camera and electrical department who worked as best boy on Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and as electrician on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Enterprise. Ed Cooper (Starfleet) and E. Cooper, named seen on dedication plaques, were named after him.

Beside his work on Star Trek, Cooper also worked on the crime comedy Nice Dreams (1981, with Adam Glick), the horror film Cat People (1982, with William D. Barber), the television mini series The Winds of War (1983), the comedy Joy of Sex (1984), the television drama An Early Frost (1985, with Norman Glasser), the comedy Down and Out in Beverly Hills (1986, with Norman Glasser), the comedy ¡Three Amigos! (1986, with Greg Cantrell and Norman Glasser), and the crime comedy Harlem Nights (1989, with Scott McKnight).
