Drew Deighan was a Starfleet officer in the 24th century. He was a captain in 2346.
In 2346, he was the commander of the USS Intrepid. His ship was the first to respond to Klingon distress signals when the Khitomer outpost was destroyed. (TNG: "Sins of the Father")
Deighan's name appeared on the monitor display that contained the logs of the Intrepid that Data was researching. He was named after episode writer, Drew Deighan. (Star Trek: The Next Generation Companion)
