Kazago

...as Kazago

Doug Warhit (sometimes credited as Douglas Warhit) is the actor who played Kazago in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Battle". Warhit has worked on many films and television shows and the majority of those appearances paired Warhit with Trek actors. He guest-starred on Remington Steele in the first season episode "To Stop A Steele" with James Read. Following Remington Steele, Warhit co-starred in the 1983 comedy, Private School with Ray Walston. A year later in 1984, both films in which Warhit appeared were with Trek alumni – Body Double (with Gregg Henry and Craig Wasson) and Beverly Hills Cop (with Jonathan Banks, Steven Berkoff, Michael Champion and Ronny Cox). Warhit then guested on the short-lived Misfits Of Science in the episode "Three Days Of the Blender" with Kevin Peter Hall. In 1986, Warhit guested on another soon-to-be-ended series, You Again? in the episode "Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Traffic Lights" with Sam Anderson. All these were done before Warhit made his way to TNG. Afterwards, the trend continued. In 1988, Warhit worked with once and future Trek actors James Cromwell, Jeff Kober, Robert Picardo and Concetta Tomei in the series premiere of the ABC drama China Beach. 1990 saw Warhit in the comedy Look Who's Talking Now? with Kirstie Alley. In 1991 and 1992, Warhit again guest-starred on another short-term show Civil Wars. In the episodes "A Long, Fat, Full Frontal Presentation" and "For Better or Perverse" he appeared, respectively, with Jeff Allin and Ken Thorley. In season 3 of NYPD Blue in the episode "Head Cases", Warhit was teamed with Gordon Clapp, Sharon Lawrence and Michael Buchman Silver. Warhit made a final appearance on television on the ABC comedy Clueless in the first season outing "City Beautification" (with Wallace Shawn).

Today, Warhit is semi-retired from acting and teaches acting to students at various colleges and universities and also in his own private time.
