The Division of Control was the seat of the government of the Eminian Union, the High Council.
In 2267, Captain James T. Kirk led a landing party to the Division of Control to make diplomatic overtures that were initially rejected. The Division of Control also housed the disintegration stations where casualties of the Eminiar-Vendikar War were killed, and their deaths recorded. (TOS: "A Taste of Armageddon")
