Dilithium vector calibration was a routine maintenance procedure performed on the warp engines of a starship.

In 2367, on board the USS Enterprise-D, Chief Engineer Geordi La Forge informed the bridge that engineering had completed the calibrations and the Enterprise was cleared to increase its warp speed to seven. When subsequently, the Federation starship suddenly increased its speed to warp nine point one, La Forge expressed his disapproval. He did not advise this increase if the ship was going to maintain the realignment progression brought about by the calibrations. Furthermore, in maintaing these progressions, the ship should not be pushing past warp eight for at least one hour. (TNG: "Brothers")
