Born in Karlstad, Minnesota, USA, he won a Daytime Emmy Award in the category Individual Achievement in Any Area of Creative Technical Crafts - Costume Designer in 1981 for his work on The Mike Douglas Show. Beside his work on the television game show Match Game (mentioned on-air by Gene Rayburn as his stylist on Match Game 78), and on Super Password (1984-1989), Anderson worked as costumer on the fantasy comedy Ghost Busters (1984), the comedy Stewardess School (1986), and the crime comedy Turner & Hooch (1989).
Anderson passed away of cancer in 2007 in Los Angeles, California.
