Daryl Furumi Mallett (born 3 May 1969; age 54) is an actor, editor, and freelance writer who wrote one of the original storylines for the Star Trek: The Next Generation sixth season episode "Birthright, Part I". He also appeared as a background performer in The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and as a Rura Penthe prisoner in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

Mallett was born in Los Angeles, California and graduated from the University of California in Riverside in 1991. Beside his acting work on Star Trek, he also appeared as a background actor in the action comedy Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death (1989, with Adrienne Barbeau and Christopher Doyle) and in several stage productions.

His writing credits include several non fiction books, most recently the book "Falcon Fields" in 2009. He also wrote several short stories such as "Tongue-Tied: Bubo's Tale" from "Star Wars: Tales from Jabba's Palace" in 1996. Mallett is the founder and producer at the production company Dustbunny Productions and is working as marketing producer at Caribou Moving Pictures.
