Dan Spiegle (10 December 192028 January 2017; age 96)[1] was a comic book artist.

He got his break in 1949 when he met Bill Boyd, portrayer of Hopalong Cassidy in the movies. Spiegle ended up as the primary artist for the ensuing newspaper strip until its end in 1955. In the 1970s, he began collaborating with Marvel and DC, and continued through the early 1990s. During this time, he worked as an illustrator on one issue of DC Comics' original Star Trek series of comic books, in an issue written by Walter Koenig, entitled "Chekov's Choice". His daughter Carrie provided the lettering for that issue. Spiegle had previously illustrated segments of the Star Trek newspaper comic strip.
