A curriculum was a program of education established as a guideline to direct a student's learning process. Schools in Britain had a core curriculum that, according to Malcolm Reed, provided a well-rounded education. (ENT: "Shuttlepod One")

In 2369, Keiko O'Brien set about building a curriculum for the school on Deep Space 9 that would adequately serve children of all origins, not just those of Federation origin. She mentioned this to Quark when the Ferengi questioned her wish that Nog attend classes there. (DS9: "A Man Alone") Later that year, Kira Nerys suggested she revise the curriculum to include Bajoran beliefs about the Bajoran wormhole as well as scientific teachings. Keiko refused. Later, Vedek Winn suggested that instead of teaching the religious beliefs as well, she could omit the wormhole altogether. Again, she declined, prompting Winn to remove all the Bajoran children from Keiko's classroom. (DS9: "In the Hands of the Prophets")

In 2371, in response to Kathryn Janeway and Chakotay's concerns that some of the new former Maquis crew members of USS Voyager would be ill equipped to serve on a Starfleet vessel, Tuvok agreed to prepare a curriculum for them. (VOY: "Learning Curve")

In 2378, Janeway put together a curriculum for Q's son to follow while he was on Voyager. (VOY: "Q2")
