Baxley, Jr. is the son of stuntman and director Craig R. Baxley, the nephew of stuntman Gary Baxley, and the grandson of stuntman and stunt coordinator Paul Baxley. He has doubled for actors, including Balthazar Getty and Peter Krause.

Among his stunt resume are films such as Pontiac Moon (1994, with John Schuck and Brian J. Williams), The 13th Warrior (1999, with Erick Avari, Lauro Chartrand, Mark Chadwick, Lynn Salvatori, and Scott Workman), The Scorpion King (2002, with The Rock, Branscombe Richmond, Joseph Ruskin, Scott L. Schwartz, Nikki Flux, Rachelle Roderick, and Anita Hart), and Rush Hour 3 (2007, with Eddie Braun).

He has also performed stunts in television series such as ER (1999, with Sam Anderson, Steven Culp, Lily Mariye, Stephanie Erb, Scott Jaeck, and Darwyn Carson), and CSI New York (2004).
