The Cradle of Persuasion was a fictional torture device within the The Adventures of Captain Proton holoprogram, located in the Fortress of Doom.
It was used by Doctor Chaotica during interrogations to extract information from his enemies and was equipped with a brain probe and a pain modulator. Queen Arachnia, played by Kathryn Janeway, mistook the cradle with Chaotica's death ray. (VOY: "Bride of Chaotica!")
