A covariant shield is a type of shield used on the Pendari ship where Tsunkatse matches were held and broadcast from. On stardate 53447.2, Seven of Nine was captured and forced to fight Tsunkatse matches on board a Pendari vessel. (VOY: "Tsunkatse")
