Background information

The duty jumpsuit Connors wore had no indication of rank and was worn by both non-commissioned and commissioned officers; therefore, his rank cannot be determined from his uniform.

Connors was an uncredited role played by Eddie Paskey, a regular extra who served as a set stand-in throughout the course of the original Star Trek series. "Mudd's Women" marked the only time when Paskey's character wore the generic green duty jumpsuit and was called Connors. This was due to the fact that Paskey's character did not have a set identity until he was called "Leslie" in "The Conscience of the King" and subsequent episodes.

Connors in "The Crier in Emptiness"

According to the comic book, "The Crier in Emptiness", Connors was a navigator aboard the Enterprise who enjoyed solitude and quietness. He spoke with a heavy accent and could skillfully play the Edoan Elisiar, a musical instrument. By stardate 5444.9, he was a lieutenant and wore a sciences division uniform.

He was depicted in the comic book in some physically awkward poses for a Human, possibly indicating that the artist originally drew Arex, the Edosian navigator from the Animated Series. References to his name in speech balloons indicate that it was once several letters shorter, suggesting that he may or may not be the same Connors from "Mudd's Women".
