Telegraph Hill crowned by coit tower

The Coit Tower (center) atop Telegraph Hill

Coit Tower was an art deco tower built in the 1930s on San Francisco's Telegraph Hill. It was constructed of unpainted reinforced concrete. This tower was visible from the San Francisco Bay. In 1986, this tower was briefly seen on the viewscreen of the HMS Bounty as the ship entered the city. Later, the tower was seen when Hikaru Sulu flew a helicopter over the San Francisco Bay. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home; ENT: "Home", "Affliction")

In the alternate reality of 2259, Coit Tower was seen as shuttles departed Hangar 1 for Starbase 1. (Star Trek)
