Template:Realworld Christopher Collins (30 August 194912 June 1994; age 44) was born Chris Latta in New Jersey in August 1949. Formerly a stand-up comedian, most of his TV credits are for voice work in cartoons such as Transformers and GI Joe. Interestingly, Latta was the original voice for C. Montgomery Burns in The Simpsons, voicing the character for the first few episodes. He was forced to give it up, and Harry Shearer took over instead.

Latta has a number of Star Trek appearances in both The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine, all credited as Christopher Collins. Chris Latta died in Ventura, California in June 1994, from a brain hemorrhage.
