Chip Mayer (21 February 195423 July 2011; age 57), also known as Christopher Mayer was the actor who appeared as Ryan in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine seventh season episode "Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang".

Mayer was born in New York, New York, USA. He may be best known for playing Vance Duke during the 1982-83 season of The Dukes of Hazzard. He later starred in the short-lived series Glitter and played T.J. Daniels on the soap opera Santa Barbara from 1987 through 1989.

He made his television debut starring in the 1980 made-for-TV action movie Stunts Unlimited, co-starring Star Trek: The Original Series guest actor Glenn Corbett and Trek film actor John Larroquette. He followed this with guest appearances on such shows as Simon & Simon, The Love Boat, Silk Stalkings (with Charlie Brill and Ben Vereen), Xena: Warrior Princess, Weird Science (with Andrew Prine), Renegade (starring Leonard Kelly-Young), Sliders (starring Jerry O'Connell), Baywatch, and Pacific Blue (with Richard Herd). He was also seen in Liar Liar (1997, with Anne Haney, Eric Pierpoint, Don Keefer, Randy Oglesby, and Mitchell Ryan).

Mayer died in Sherman Oaks, California, on 23 July 2011. He was 57 years old. [1]
