Charles Seel (29 April 189719 April 1980; age 82) was the actor from New York, New York, who appeared as Ed the bartender in the Star Trek: The Original Series third season episode "Spectre of the Gun". He filmed his scenes on Monday 27 May 1968 at Desilu Stage 10.

He is perhaps best remembered for his many appearances as "Mr. Krinkie" on the television series Dennis the Menace. He also made several appearances on the Westerns Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Virginian.

He also made brief appearances in a number of classic films, including several that were directed by John Ford and starred John Wayne, most notably 1962's The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. He also worked with Ford on the westerns Sergeant Rutledge (1960, starring Jeffrey Hunter) and Cheyanne Autumn (1964, starring Ricardo Montalban) and appeared with John Wayne in 1960's North to Alaska (also featuring Stanley Adams and Roy Jenson).

His other film credits include The Man with the Golden Arm (1955), I Was a Teenage Werewolf (1957, starring Whit Bissell), Pillow Talk (1959, with William Schallert), and Mister Buddwing (1966, with Jean Simmons, Ken Lynch, and Nichelle Nichols). His final film appearance was in Westworld (1973, starring Alan Oppenheimer and Majel Barrett}.

Seel died ten days before his 83rd birthday in Los Angeles County, California.
