Celes II was the second planet in the Celes star system. In 2379, the praetor of the Romulan Star Empire called for a vote on a motion to open trade negotiations with this world.

The motion to open negotiations was brought in response to the fact that the dilithium mines on Remus had not been filling their quotas for a matter of months. (Star Trek Nemesis)

According to the Star Trek: Star Charts (pages 61,66), the Celes system was located in the Beta Quadrant. This system, also known as Tau Hydrae, was a trinary star system. Primary was a Class F star with a magnitude of +3, which was ten times the brightness of Sol. Secondary was a Class F star. Tertiary was a Class K star. In the mid-22nd century, this system was in non-aligned space. In the late 24th century, this system was in or near Federation space.
