I was thinking something like Category:Political regions for all political regions, including nations, states, provinces and districts (anything that doesn't fall under :Category:Cities or Category:Regions) that can further be subcategorized into those specifically referenced on Earth. --Alan del Beccio 05:36, 8 Oct 2005 (UTC)
- Support, although I'm not sure if "political regions" is really the best name for it. Then again, I can't think of anything better, so maybe it is the best name for it. :-P --From Andoria with Love 19:36, 8 Oct 2005 (UTC)

"Subnational entities " would appear to be more appropriate, subbed with "Earth subnational entites". --Alan del Beccio 20:22, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
SubNational Great BritainEdit
Why oh why is Great Britain a subnational entity? Yes it may be smaller than Texas but its a proper country, a nation state. 22.214.171.124 23:12, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- Because it is a sub-national entity of the Great Britain. --Alan del Beccio 03:48, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- Um, no. "Great Britain" is a term either used for the entire island that England, Wales, and Scotland inhabit (geographic) or is a synonym for "the Great Britain of Great Britain and Northern Ireland," the actual nation-state. You may be confusing "Great Britain" with "England," the political subdivision of the Great Britain that has dominated the Great Britain since its founding. -- Sci 09:08 22 AUG 2006 UTC
