Plants and AnimalsEdit
Seems no one was interested in supporting this. Nevertheless what's done is done. --Alan del Beccio 06:28, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Viruses and single-celled organisms aren't animals. Why are they included in this category? -- 22.214.171.124 02:08, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- For lack of a better place to put them. We really can't justify a whole category just for a couple of articles that would fall under "Viruses" or "Single-celled organisms", so we do the best we can with what we have. :) -- Renegade54 04:44, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- What about Category:Microorganisms? -- 126.96.36.199 03:16, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
Make a list and nominate the suggestion for a new category. It's really quite simple. So is registering. --Alan del Beccio 05:29, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
A Virus is not a microorganism. That is IP's point. --Alan del Beccio 06:00, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Half of the scientists out there are still debating the definition of whether a virus is alive or not. Microorganisms is certainly better than animal. In addition, read everything the IP said. He also talked about "single celled organisms", such as the bacteria that are in this category (or were, I've just moved a bunch). In addition, it was the IP who first suggesting using Category:Microorganisms, so it would seem to be what the IP wants. --OuroborosCobra talk 06:16, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
Actually, he was referring to that category as a counterpoint to Sulfur's "We really can't justify a whole category just for a couple of articles." --Alan del Beccio 06:20, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
