Casperia Prime, or simply Casperia, was the inhabited prime planet of its star system. It was orbited by a large set of planetary rings.

In the mid-24th century, the Starfleet Bureau of Information billed this world as "The Vacation Capital of the Horvian Cluster." Its reputation as a resort was on par with Risa; among its sights were waterfalls. (DS9: "Change of Heart"; PIC: "Seventeen Seconds")

In 2374, Jadzia Dax planned her honeymoon with Worf to take place on Casperia Prime. (DS9: "Change of Heart")

Later that year, Dr. Julian Bashir planned to attend a medical conference on Casperia Prime before he was abducted by Luther Sloan, who wished to evaluate his potential as an agent, before recruiting him into Section 31. When discussing the trip with Bashir, Odo joked that doctors always held their medical conferences on sunny resorts. (DS9: "Inquisition")

In the early 2380s, Jean-Luc Picard and Beverly Crusher enjoyed shore leave together on Casperia Prime. However, Starfleet called Picard back early, which confirmed Crusher's belief that their relationship was ending; on that night, their son Jack Crusher was conceived. (PIC: "Seventeen Seconds").

The game mistakenly spells the planet as "Kasperia".

The Pocket DS9 novel Hollow Men followed the events of "Inquisition", with Bashir reading through a number of papers that were presented at the conference he had missed.

Casperia also appeared in the video game Star Trek Online in the year 2398, as the location of peace talks between the Klingon Empire and the Gorn Hegemony, mediated by the Federation. The talks were interrupted after an explosion, which was later determined to have been caused by a Klingon extremist group.
