Carolyn L. Elias (born 24 September 1938; age 85) is a hair stylist who worked on the Star Trek: The Next Generation fifth and seventh season episodes "Silicon Avatar" and "Firstborn", and Star Trek Generations. For her work on "Firstborn", she received an Emmy Award nomination in the category Outstanding Individual Achievement in Hairstyling for a Series in 1994 which she shared with Joy Zapata, Patricia Miller, Laura Connolly, Don Sheldon, and Susan Zietlow-Maust.

Born in Burbank, California, USA, Elias is the sister of stuntman Lou Elias and actor James Stacy. She also received Emmy Award nominations for her work on Haywire (1980), Blind Faith (1990), and Lucky Chances (1991, shared with Barbara Lampson).

Elias started to work in the entertainment industry in the 1970s with credits on Santee (1973), the television series Serpico (1976), and the television movies Mary White (1977) and The Gathering (1977). Further work include The Girl, the Gold Watch & Dynamite (1981), Killing at Hell's Gate (1981), Divorce Wars: A Love Story (1982), the comedy Second Thoughts (1983), Dance of the Dwarfs (1984, with Craig Reardon), Magnum, P.I. (1982), Jake and the Fatman (1987), and Cagney & Lacey (1983-1988), Always (1989, with James Lee McCoy and Dione Taylor), Arachnophobia (1990, with James Lee McCoy, Dione Taylor, and David Quashnick), Life Stinks (1991, with Mark Bussan), Unlawful Entry (1992), Body Bags (1993), several Columbo movies (1989-1993), Apollo 13 (1995), That Thing You Do! (1996, with Janice Alexander, Audrey L. Anzures, and Norma Lee), Contact (1997, with Janice Alexander, Audrey L. Anzures, and Vivian McAteer), Pleasantville (1998), Almost Famous (2000), Thirteen Days (2000), and The Princess Diaries (2001, with Janice Alexander and Carol A. O'Connell).
