Mrs. Carmichael was the owner of a boarding house in the 19th century, San Francisco, Earth. When she was a lass, she did a church play.

In 1893, Mrs. Carmichael had the bad luck to rent her rooms to a certain "Mr. Pickerd" and his theater troupe. "Mr. Pickerd" offered her the part of Titania in their newest play, "A Midsummer Night's Dream", in order to divert her from claiming the overdue rent. However, his ploy was unsuccessful. After "Mr. Pickerd" and his troupe left San Francisco, their boarding house bill was settled by Samuel Clemens. (TNG: "Time's Arrow, Part II")

Carmichael was played by actress Pamela Kosh.
