Carly Thomas is an actress, singer and songwriter who played Crewman Alison in the Star Trek: Enterprise second season episode "Vanishing Point".

A native of Minnesota, she attended Sarah Lawrence College in New York on a music scholarship and performed at such venues as Birdland, the Rainbow Room, and The Plaza. She was a cast member of the Broadway musical Rent and a member of the acclaimed Broadway Inspirational Voices, a gospel choir comprised of Broadway singers. Following her marriage with actor Jacques C. Smith in 2007 she has been known as Carly Thomas Smith.

Her television appearances include Deadline (2000, with Bebe Neuwirth), Friends (2003), Two and a Half Men (2007), Desperate Housewives (2010, with Teri Hatcher, Vanessa Williams, Mark Moses, Kevin Rahm, Brenda Strong, and Emily Bergl), Revenge (2011), and Front Seat Chronicles (2014). In 2004, she appeared as one of the leads in the US premiere of the musical We Will Rock You, based on the music of Queen. She also co-wrote the song "In Time" for the movie Hustle & Heat.

Her film work includes the television comedy My Ex Life (2006, directed by Kelsey Grammer), the short crime drama A Detective Story (2008), the crime drama Young Americans (2014), the thriller After School (2014, co-produced by Carrie Specht), the short drama Not Your Average Joe (2016), and the short comedy Inappropriately Perfect (2016).
