The Carl Sagan Memorial Station is a monument on Mars located not far from the terraforming Verteron Array on the spot where the NASA rover Sojourner, launched in the late 20th Century, finally came to rest after its mission of exploration. It is a "Mars Heritage Site", and was created by the "Mars History Preservation Society". (ENT: "Terra Prime")
The text upon the monument reads:
MARS HERITAGE SITE CARL SAGAN MEMORIAL STATION FIRST ROVER ON MARS JULY 4, 1997 MARS HISTORICAL PERSERVATION SOCIETY "WHATEVER THE REASON YOU'RE ON MARS I'M GLAD YOU'RE THERE, AND I WISH I WAS WITH YOU." - CARL SAGAN
