The Camorites were a species native to the planet Camor V. Their physiology was apparently different enough from Humans to discern the two species, even when scanned from orbit.
Many adult Camorites were killed in the Cardassian War, leaving behind many Camorite orphans. Some of them were cared for by the Human Miranda Vigo when she moved to Camor V in 2358. (TNG: "Bloodlines")
