(written from a Production point of view)

Camille Calvet is a makeup artist who worked seven years on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and also Star Trek: First Contact. In 2002 she married Damian Della Santina, for which she is the daughter-in-law of Robert della Santina, and since then, has been credited as Camille Della Santina.

She was part of the group that worked on Deep Space Nine which was nominated for an Emmy in 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999 for Outstanding makeup for a series. The individual shows that were nominated were "Rules of Acquisition", "The Visitor", "Apocalypse Rising", "Who Mourns for Morn?", and "The Dogs of War", respectively.

The makeup crew of Deep Space Nine, of which she was a part, did actually win an Emmy back in 1995 for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Makeup for a Series for DS9: "Distant Voices".

Calvet was Nana Visitor's makeup artist and was involved in changes to the design of the Bajoran nose prosthetic. It became a little bit more delicate as compared to the original design as used by Michelle Forbes when that actress played Ensign Ro Laren. It was thinned down at the top so that you didn't see it so much in the middle. It had the same exact ridges as from the beginning but after the changes became able to show more expression, especially when the actress would furrow her brow.
