First Reading of the Emancipation Proclamation of President Lincoln

Caleb B. Smith (standing behind table, second from right) in the painting First Reading of the Emancipation Proclamation of President Lincoln.

Caleb B. Smith was a noted 19th century Human politician from the United States of America, who was notable for serving under the administration of President Abraham Lincoln as the Secretary of Interior.

The painting entitled First Reading of the Emancipation Proclamation of President Lincoln, depicting Smith during Lincoln's 1862 signing of the Emancipation Proclamation, was contained in the library computer aboard the USS Enterprise. This data was flashed on a viewscreen when the Talosians scanned the Enterprise computer in 2254. (TOS: "The Cage" remastered)
