Template:Realworld Template:2008spoiler Burt Dalton is a motion picture special effects coordinator who recently worked on 2009's Star Trek. [1] He was nominated for an Emmy Award for his effects work on the HBO's acclaimed 1998 mini-series From the Earth to the Moon, which featured Star Trek alumni David Andrews, Robert Curtis Brown, David Clennon, Ronny Cox, Brett Cullen, Ann Cusack, Jerry Hardin, Clint Howard, Daniel Hugh Kelly, John Carroll Lynch, Dakin Matthews, Deborah May, Andy Milder, Kieran Mulroney, Holmes Osborne, Ethan Phillips, Harve Presnell, Mark Rolston, Stephen Root, and Alan Ruck. David Carson was a director on this series.

Early in his Hollywood career, Dalton coordinated the special effects for such films as Xanadu (1980, starring James Sloyan), Creator (starring Jeff Corey, Ellen Geer, Virginia Madsen, Michael McGrady, Kenneth Tigar, and Ian Wolfe), Sweet Dreams (1985, starring David Clennon), At Close Range (1986, featuring Tracey Walter), and Disorganized Crime (1989, starring Corbin Bernsen and Daniel Roebuck). He also did special effects work for the NBC television series Remington Steele and coordinated effects for the cult science fiction Alien Nation (starring Gary Graham, Eric Pierpoint, and Michele Scarabelli).

Since then, Dalton has coordinated or supervised the effects of films such as The Bodyguard (1992, starring Bill Cobbs), Showgirls (1995), The Nutty Professor (1996), Liar Liar (1997, featuring Anne Haney, Don Keefer, Randy Oglesby, and Eric Pierpoint), Doctor Dolittle (1998), Road Trip (2000, featuring Andy Dick and Ellen Albertini Dow), The Legend of Bagger Vance (2000, featuring Bruce McGill and Harve Presnell), The Ring (2002, featuring Shannon Cochran and Richard Lineback), The Rundown (2003, starring The Rock). More recent film credits include Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous (2005, starring Enrique Murciano and William Shatner), The Dukes of Hazzard (2005), Zodiac (2007), The Kingdom (2007), and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008).
