Skip E. Burnam (26 March 1944 – 25 October 2004; age 60), better known as Burt Burnam or Burt "Skip" Burnam, was an assistant director and production manager for Hollywood film and television. He was a Second Assistant (2nd AD) on Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, along with George Fortmuller.
Burnam was also a 2nd AD on the 1984 film Up the Creek under principal director Robert Butler, who had previously directed the first Star Trek pilot, "The Cage". Burnam served as both 2nd AD and 1st AD on the hit series Magnum, P.I. He later became 1st AD on such television programs as Matlock, Northern Exposure, and a number of made-for-TV movies, including 1993's The Ernest Green Story, starring Avery Brooks. He was also 1st AD for the second unit of the 1996 film Courage Under Fire.
In addition, Burnam was a unit production manager on the popular series Gilmore Girls. His other production management credits include the 1997 mini-series Knots Landing: Back to the Cul-de-Sac, the 2003 TV movie adaptation of The Lone Ranger, and several other TV productions.
