Brenda Strong played the role of Rashella in TNG: "When the Bough Breaks." She's had a number of roles in various films including Starship Troopers, Red Dragon, and The Craft. One of her first film roles was a bit part as a nurse in the sci-fi spoof Spaceballs which also featured one of Tim Russ' first film appearances.
Strong, however, has enjoyed far more success on the small sceen with recurring roles on several successful television series, including Party of Five, Sports Night, Seinfeld (co-starring Jason Alexander), and 7th Heaven as well as guest spots on CSI, 3rd Rock From the Sun, Murphy Brown and Gilmore Girls.
Her most famous TV role, however, is one in which she is rarely seen, as Mary Alice Young, the deceased narrator on Desperate Housewives. A number of other Trek actors have appeared on the show as regulars and semi-regulars including Teri Hatcher, Steven Culp, Mark Moses, Alfre Woodard, Bob Gunton, and Paul Dooley.
