File:Bregit lung, Sons and daughters.jpg

A plate of Bregit lung.

Bregit lung is a Klingon food often prepared on Klingon warships.

Commander William Riker said he enjoyed bregit lung when it was served aboard the IKS Pagh. (TNG: "A Matter Of Honor")

Bregit lung was also served aboard the IKS Rotarran. (DS9: "Sons and Daughters")

This dish is not actually the lung of a Bregit. In this case lung (rhymes with Dr. Soong) is a classification of animals that includes reptiles and salamanders in tlhIngan Hol, the Klingon language created by Marc Okrand.
