Brandon "Brand" Peterson is a comic book artist born and raised in Wisconsin.

After graduation from the University of Wisconsin, he joined Marvel Comics as a pencil artist on the Uncanny X-Men. In 1994, he left Marvel to join Top Cow Productions, where he worked for five years on titles including Codename Stryeforce, Ripclaw, and his own creation Arcanum, which he also wrote and inked. When he left Top Cow, he rejoined Marvel to work on Magneto Rex and the X-Men. In late 1999, he left the company when he was hired by CrossGen Comics to do the pencil art on Mystic. He was eventually promoted to be a Vice President of the company and handled all of the art on Chimera.

In 2003, he left CrossGen to rejoin Marvel, working on Ultimate X-Men and Strange, a re-imagining of the Doctor Strange story by J. Michael Straczynski. Over the years, he has also worked on Star Wars for Dark Horse and the Green Lantern and Star Trek for DC Comics, in addition to working on video games, advertising, and animation.
