Brad Dechter (born 6 November 1956; age 60) is a California native and an orchestrator, arranger, composer, and saxophonist. Currently the Vice-President of the American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers (ASMAC), Dechter is well known for his work on well over 200 feature films as an orchestrator, working with a variety of composers including Michael Giacchino, James Newton Howard, Marc Shaiman, Trevor Jones, and Jerry Goldsmith.

He has been nominated for two Emmy Awards for his arranging work on Moonlighting and arranged and orchestrated the Emmy-winning title theme for The West Wing.

Some titles he has worked on include The Fugitive, The Village, The Passion of the Christ, The Last of the Mohicans, The Dark Knight, The Sixth Sense, Pretty Woman, and Dave.

He has worked with a number of Star Trek alumni on various films including Revenge of the Nerds (1984, with Danny Rodgers, James Cromwell, Steve Blalock, Terry James, Yolanda Toussieng, Michael Friedman, Armin Steiner, Joseph A. Unsinn, Corey Michael Eubanks, and Bernie Casey).

He worked as an orchestrator on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and was also credited with orchestration work on the soundtrack release for Star Trek Into Darkness.
