A crashed Borg scoutship.

The Borg scoutship was a type of starship used by the Borg Collective to assess the capabilities and technology of new species they encountered. Ships of this type were cubical, several meters long, and massed approximately 2.5 million metric tons. They had a standard crew of five drones.

A vessel of this type crashed inside the Argolis Cluster in 2368, where it was discovered by personnel from the USS Enterprise-D. The lone surviving drone (later named Hugh by the Enterprise crew) was rescued by Borg from a second scoutship several days later. (TNG: "I, Borg")
