Borath

Template:Disambiguate Borath was a Vorta official who conducted an experiment on captured members of the USS Defiant crew on the Founders' homeworld in 2371. The experiment involved a simulated reality, and was designed to gauge the amount of resistance the Dominion would encounter if it made inroads into the Alpha Quadrant. In the simulation, Borath posed as the Dominion representative to the Federation. While running an experiment on Commander Benjamin Sisko, he negotiated directly with Fleet Admiral Alynna Nechayev.

Borath was surprised to see the lengths that Sisko and his crew were willing to go to in order to stop the Dominion, including risking their lives and careers to destroy the Bajoran wormhole. Borath was ordered by the Female Changeling to discontinue the experiment at Odo's insistence. (DS9: "The Search, Part II")

Borath was played by Dennis Christopher.
