Robert "Bob" Larkin (born 10 July 1949; age 74) is a prolific cover artist. He worked for Marvel Comics in the late 1970s and contributed covers to a few of their "Super Special" movie adaptations including Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Empire Strikes Back, and Star Trek: The Motion Picture. During his time at Marvel, he also did some cover art for Creepy magazine, a horror magazine.
In the 1980s, he began doing cover art for novels in the science-fiction and fantasy genres, including all seven novels in the Star Wreck parody series, and six of the nine novels in Dell's Babylon 5 series.
More recently, he contributed covers to Jon Courteny Grimwood's Arabesk trilogy and the Battlestar Galactica novels by Richard Hatch.
Other Star Trek related work includes covers for The Nitpicker's Guide for Next Generation Trekkers (both volumes) and the companion The Nitpicker's Guide for Classic Trekkers, all by Phil Farrand, and the original printing of Mudd's Angels and Vulcan!.
