Bluejay 4 (Lockheed F-104A "Starfighter")

"Bluejay 4" was the callsign of the Lockheed F-104A 'Starfighter' piloted by Captain John Christopher in TOS: "Tomorrow is Yesterday". Captain Christopher's F-104A is scrambled to intercept and investigate an apparent UFO contact. The UFO is actually the Enterprise, accidentally thrown back in time. Spock warns Kirk that the closing aircraft may be equipped with nuclear warheads and could pose a real threat. Kirk uses the tractor beam to hold the aircraft off, but the plane begins to break up under the force of the tractor beam, and Kirk must bring it's pilot aboard the Enterprise. Christopher is saved, but the aircraft is demolished.
