BIOPLAST GS 2189 is extremely suitable for sheet film extrusion, blown film extrusion and injection molding of completely biodegradable products. The complete biodegradability and other functional properties enable the converter to advance in production areas, which could not be reached with traditional thermoplastic materials.

Bioplast skin

A close-up of Data's bioplast skin

Bioplast was a thin material that could be used in the form of sheets for constructing exterior surfaces.

Data's skin consisted of 1.3 kilograms of bioplast sheeting. When he was abducted by Kivas Fajo, the same amount of bioplast sheeting was put into his type 15 shuttlepod to make it seem as if he perished when the shuttlepod exploded. (TNG: "The Most Toys")
