Bill Erwin (2 December 191429 December 2010; age 96) was the actor who portrayed Dalen Quaice in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth season episode "Remember Me".

A veteran of film and television, Erwin appeared on numerous "theater programs" of the early 1950s, including Science Fiction Theater and Zane Grey Theatre. He made guest appearances on a wide variety of television programs, including The Virginian, Gunsmoke, Growing Pains, Who's the Boss?, Seinfeld (for which he received an Emmy nomination, with Lanei Chapman playing his housekeeper), The Drew Carey Show, The West Wing, I Love Lucy, and The Twilight Zone. In the latter, he co-starred with fellow Trek alumni Ken Lynch, Arthur Batanides, Frank Overton, John Hoyt, and Morgan Jones.

His film credits consist roles in such films as Somewhere in Time (1980, with Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country actor Christopher Plummer), The Bear (1984), She's Having a Baby (1988, with William Windom and Wil Wheaton), Home Alone (1990), Dennis the Menace (1993, with Star Trek III: The Search for Spock actor Christopher Lloyd and Paul Winfield), Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult (1994, with Marc Alaimo), Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead (1995, with Christopher Lloyd, Bill Cobbs, Don Stark, Tommy "Tiny" Lister, Jr., and Bill Bolender), Menno's Mind (1996, starring Michael Dorn, Robert Picardo, and Corbin Bernsen), and Forces of Nature (1999).


Among his last known work were episodes of Monk (2003, with James W. Jansen), King of Queens (2004), Everwood (2004, with Michael Behrens), and My Name Is Earl (2006, with Larry A. Hankin and Arne Starr).

Erwin died at his home in Studio City, California, on 29 December 2010. He was 96 years old. [1] Erwin was remembered at the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards on 18 September 2011. [2]
