Beta Antares IV was an inhabited planet in its star system. This was the homeworld of the Beta Antares V natives.
Captain James T. Kirk stated this planet was the origin of fizzbin, a card game with absurdly complicated rules, which he invented while being trapped on Sigma Iotia II. Spock was familiar with the culture of Beta Antares IV and started to explain that there was no such game there, but was stopped short by Kirk. (TOS: "A Piece of the Action")
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts ("United Federation of Planets I", "United Federation of Planets II"), Beta Antares IV was located in the Antares system. This planet was located in non-aligned space. In 2378, Beta Antares IV was a Federation member.
