Berman was a 20th century science fiction writer. In the 1950s, he co-wrote the story "{{dis|First Contact|story}]", which was published in the April 1953 issue of Incredible Tales magazine. (DS9: "Far Beyond the Stars")

Berman was named after Star Trek producer and writer Rick Berman.
