Berlin is a major city on the European continent on Earth and was the capital of the former nation-state Germany.
After World War II, it was divided into West and East Berlin until German reunification in 1990. (DS9: "Change of Heart")
Berlin was the site of a Vulcan consulate in 2155. (ENT: "Terra Prime")
In the year 1944 of an alternate timeline, Berlin was also the center of the German Third Reich, which is why most of the insurrections by American resistance fighters were aimed at this city. (ENT: "Storm Front, Parts I and II")
