Benten Vek was a Bajoran who lived on Terok Nor during the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor.

In 2366, Benten was arrested, placed in a holding cell and issued a fine for an unknown offense. While in the holding cell, he was told by Odo that his fine had been paid and that he was free to go within the hour. (DS9: "Things Past")
