In 2364 he held the rank of captain and was the commanding officer of the USS James Fennimore Cooper. In that year, prior to stardate 41044.2, he received a mission order about the transfer of personnel from Captain B.J. Hunnicutt of Starfleet Operational Support Services. (TNG: "Conspiracy")
