The Beloti sector was a region of space near the Federation-Cardassian border which contained the Mericor planetary system. The area was the site of fighting during the war between the two powers in the 2350s, and several still-armed gravitic mines were left behind.
In 2368, the USS Denver transferred 517 colonists to that sector when it struck one of the mines and required rescue by the USS Enterprise-D. (TNG: "Ethics")
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on page 46, this sector was named after the star system Beloti. Beloti sector was located in the Alpha Quadrant.
