Changes: Battle of Prexnak

The Battle of Prexnak was the most important battle in Ferengi history. Ten Ferengi stood alone against two hundred and seventy-three Lytasians. The short-lived battle was over when all ten Ferengi involved were slaughtered.

Quark mentioned the Battle of Prexnak to point out that Ferengi were just as tough as anybody in the galaxy, in regards to their mission of rescuing his mother, Ishka, from the Dominion in 2374. (DS9: "The Magnificent Ferengi")

In the early days of The Next Generation, the Ferengi were intended to be an enemy powerful enough to challenge the USS Enterprise, but their role evolved into entrepreneurs who were politically neutral as that series, and especially Deep Space Nine, further developed them. As such, the closest thing the Ferengi had had to military experience was pirating and other fringe operations, often involving formidable D'Kora marauders.

According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on the star chart "United Federation of Planets I", Prexnak was the name of a star system. This system's primary was a red giant.
