Barisa Prime is a planet located near Tzenkethi space in the Barisa system, and the site of a Federation colony.
In late 2371, the USS Defiant received a truncated message from Barisa Prime indicating that the colony had been attacked and destroyed by Tzenkethi forces. The transmission was actually fabricated by a Founder posing as Ambassador Krajensky, as part of an attempt to incite war between the Federation and the Tzenkethi. (DS9: "The Adversary")
